Welcome To The 31st Issue of Volume 2!
Chief Nolting Leaves WMFPD Coleman is Interim Fire Chief
We want to take this opportunity to thank Chief Matt Nolting, for a fantastic two-plus years with our department.
In 2020, the Wet Mountain Fire Protection District (WMFPD) decided to hire a full- time paid Chief, and Nolting fit the bill of our vision.
In his time at WMFPD, he brought in new ideas, techniques, equipment, and built a fantastic team.
Nolting's last official day having watch over the district was on January 29. Yesterday, Jan. 30, he stepped into his new role as Battalion Chief with Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.
Best of luck Chief Nolting, and thank you for everything you have done for our community!
(Assistant Chief Jeremiah Coleman will be Acting Chief for the time being).
