Sangre Shooting Sports Club Annual Meeting
This Saturday, Jan. 21
Sangre Shooting Sports Club will be holding their annual meeting January 21, 2023, at 10 a.m., in Lange Hall, 312 S. 3rd Street, Westcliffe.
If you are a member or would like to become a member, please attend the meeting. With over 250 members, the Sangre Shooting Sports Club offers covered outdoor rifle and pistol ranges from 25 to 200 yards.
The range is located south of Westcliffe on Hwy. 69 and is open year-round, weather permitting, during daylight hours. See our website, www.SangreShooting.com or our Facebook page for more information about the club.

Custer County EMS rings in the New Year with new state-of-the-art emergency equipment!
As EMS continues to advance, we want to provide our community with better and safer equipment.
Stryker Autoloaders are fully automatic stretchers that allow for safer and more secure loading and unloading. These stretchers will be able to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride for the patients. They are secured to the floor of the ambulance to reduce excess movement of the stretcher on our dirt roads and long transports. Additionally, these autoloaders will allow providers to safely move patients with more ease. Back injuries are common in EMS and these autoloaders aim to reduce the risk for providers, especially 5’1” EMTs like yours truly. EMS is excited to be able to serve the community in this way and provide a safer work environment for its valuable employees.

22-0830: A deputy responded to a civil dispute regarding a rental property.
22-0829: Clifford Steele was arrested at the courthouse for two Failure to Appear warrants from Fremont County.
22-0828: A deputy took a report of stolen computers from a residence.

22-0833: Cody Butcher was issued a summons for No Proof of Insurance.
22-0832: A deputy took a report for a lost firearm and had the serial number entered it into the national computer system.

22-0835: Deputies responded to an attempted suicide.
22-0834: Aaron Jones was arrested for assault and resisting arrest in Westcliffe.
December 18, 2022
22-0839: Samantha Banks of Slaton, TX was issued a speeding ticket.
22-0838: Aaron Jones Felony Menacing case with different victim.
12/18/2022 22-0837 Aaron Jones was arrested for felony menacing and other charges. Fremont SWAT assisted. All firearms and ammunition were confiscated.
22-0836: Pending investigation obstructing law enforcement.
