Season’s greetings, everyone!
Yes, it is that festive time of year again and the Wet Mountain Valley Community Chorale welcomes you to join us for our annual concert performance of “Lessons and Carols”.
This year’s event is being held at the Sangre de Cristo Cowboy Church, 60394 CO-69, Westcliffe on Sunday, December 11th, with performances at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. We are so pleased to be led once again by our wonderful Sarah Peachey, director, and amazing Cheryl Pinnella, accompanist.
The WMVCC is a non-profit organization and the concert is free to attend. Free will donations to support the chorale will be happily accepted. All funds are used to support the expenses of the chorale and to support other worthwhile organizations in our community. We so appreciate your generous past support of us, our love of music, and our desire to add to the joy of the Christmas season as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Tuesday, December 6: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women!! 9 a.m.- The Board of County Commissioners will hold their beginning-of-month meeting in their boardroom and via Zoom. 5 p.m.- The Town of Silver Cliff Board of Trustees will meet in-person and via Google Meets. 6-7 p.m.- Narcotics Anonymous meets at Community United Methodist Church in the Church Fellowship Hall. 6:30 p.m.- The American Legion Post 170 will hold their membership meeting. All are welcome to attend. Meetings are held in the community room inside Cliff Lanes in downtown Westcliffe. Wednesday, December 7: Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day!! 9 a.m.- The Board of County Commissioners will hold their beginning-of-month meeting in their boardroom and via Zoom. 9:30 a.m.- Line Dancing at Community United Methodist Church. 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.- POSSE Ladies Bible Study. Takes place at Sangre de Cristo Cowboy Church in Westcliffe. We are starting a new study! “The Armor of God.” All ladies are welcome!! Thursday, December 8: National Brownie Day! |

9 a.m.- Pickle Ball in Silver Cliff Memorial Park. 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.- Mt. Purls Knitting Group at Willie’s in Silver Cliff. Noon- Sharing Center- Food Distribution. 120 N. 3rd. St. in Westcliffe. 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.- Mah Jongg at the Senior Center in Silver Cliff. Saturday, December 10: Nobel Prize Day!! 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.- Parents Day Out! Please see the ad under Kid’s Korner on page 6, for all the details!! Sunday, December 11: Holiday Food Drive for Needy Animals Day!! Consider attending a House of Worship. A listing of local churches is included on this page. Monday, December 12: Gingerbread Decorating Day! 9 a.m.- Pickle Ball in Silver Cliff Memorial Park. Noon- The Wet Mountain Valley Rotary Club meets. 5:15 p.m. The POSSE Ladies Evening Bible Study. Takes place at Sangre de Cristo Cowboy Church in Westcliffe.
