Dear Bobcats Families,
I hope you and your family are doing well! The purpose of this letter is to let you know that we have decided to continue with in-home packets and on-line instruction for the remainder of the school year. We know that families and teachers have been in a state of not knowing how to proceed and we felt this decision would help in planning out the remainder of the year. We also felt it was the most prudent and safe course to take for the sake of our students.
Please let me emphasize that school is not, repeat, not closing nor shutting down. We are suspending in-person education and continuing in-home and on-line learning. It is imperative that students continue to do their assignments and turn them in as they are being graded. We are doing everything possible to assist families in this difficult time and we have made adjustments to expectations and grading to take in account the issues associated with these new challenges. However, students must continue to do their part and try their best. I know this is a very stressful time and we are doing our very best to support our students and their families.
Information on picking up students’ personal items, medications and cleaning out lockers will be forthcoming.
We are still planning on having a Graduation Ceremony on May 30th as scheduled. We’re making plans that will create a special and memorable event for our seniors while still maintaining safety.
Any family that needs food assistance for their children are invited to pick up food at the school Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. You may also contact the school to arrange for delivery to your area by school bus.
Let the kids know we miss them, and I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.
