Letter To The Editor: Great Lineup Announced for 2021 High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival
Music will ring out across the Wet Mountain Valley at the 18th annual High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival this July in the heart of the Rockies. Come enjoy stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the youth music program, the camaraderie of on-site camping and pickin’ in addition to the full roster of exciting bluegrass performers. The festival dates are Thursday through Sunday, July 8 – 11, 2021, and the location will be at The Bluff Park in Westcliffe, Colorado.
The line-up includes our festival hosts, the highly- entertaining Dry Branch Fire Squad. Also scheduled to appear are:
Many of these performers will also conduct workshops throughout the weekend (so long as the COVID-19 protocols can be navigated at the time of the event), which will afford festival-goers the opportunity to experience the performers in a more intimate setting. Also on the workshop schedule is the popular children’s program - bring the kids and their instruments!
The festival is a nonprofit effort to enhance the Wet Mountain Valley as a quality event destination that benefits the entire community. The festival has raised over $660,000 for Wet Mountain Valley charitable organizations over the years of its existence.
High Mountain Hay Fever is also the best deal in bluegrass. Four-Day Passes are only $70 through May 31 and $85 after that date. Single ticket prices are $15 for Thursday evening, $40 for all- day Friday, $45 for Saturday, and only $25 for Sunday. Tickets are on sale on our website: www.highmountainhayfever.org .
Dry camping and RV parking are available adjacent to the performance grounds and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The safety of audience members, performers, volunteer staff, and the community, is important to the festival organizers. COVID protocols are anticipated, and we ask audience members to work with High Mountain Hay Fever staff to keep everyone safe.
Complete information on camping, lodging and performers (including videos) is on our website at www.highmountainhayfever.org.
