1415 Hours: A deputy responded to the 200 block of E. Main St in Silver Cliff for a report of a suspicious package. A package was delivered to an address the recipient did not live at. It was returned to the post office. 1809 Hours: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 69 at MM 61. Charlyn Cleere Wallestead (68) of Westcliffe was issued a penalty assessment for speeding 85 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. 2152 Hours: A deputy responded to the 200 block of Vista Dr. for a report of fire ban violation. Upon his arrival in the area, he discovered it was a neighborhood dispute involving a resident and tenants at an Air B&B and children playing in a swimming pool. Saturday, August 8, 2020 1131 Hours: A deputy responded Hwy. 165 near MM 4.5 to assist the Colorado State Patrol with a motorcycle accident with injuries. 1154 Hours: A deputy responded to a motorcycle accident involving injuries at the intersection of Highways 165 and 96. The driver of the three- wheeled motorcycle lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to make a right turn from Hwy. 96 onto Hwy. 165 when it struck a vehicle stopped at the stop sign on Hwy. 165. Miles Daffron (70) of Penrose was issued a summons for careless driving resulting in injury. Sunday, August 9, 2020 0927 Hours: A deputy received a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 1400 block of Lone Tree Cr. in Westcliffe. This case is still under investigation. Monday, August 10, 2020 0616 Hours: A deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Hwy. 96. Karen Raisch (57) was issued a penalty assessment for speeding 86 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. |
1450 Hours: A deputy received a report of theft of homemade street signs from Upper Aspen Trail. One of the three signs is valued at approximately $100.00.
1645 Hours: A deputy received a report of a neighborhood dispute over property boundaries on Bear Ridge Rd. No criminal action. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 1359 Hours: A deputy received a report of three males urinating in front of another person's residence in Silver Cliff. 1630 Hours: A deputy investigated a report of burglary in the 200 block of CR 244. This case is still under investigation. 2039 Hours: A deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 60000 block of Hwy. 69. Jose Rodriquez (27) of Pueblo was issued a summons for expired temporary license plate and no proof of insurance. 2045 Hours: A deputy responded to Vista Drive for a report of a suicidal person. The suicidal person was transported by EMS for evaluation/treatment. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 0918 Hours: Deputies investigated a vehicle pedestrian accident on Keepsake Loop as well as a single vehicle accident on CR 328 near MM 5. During their investigation, they determined the two accidents were related and involved the same vehicle and driver. Ryan Reno (34) of Westcliffe was arrested for Vehicular Assault, Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury and DUI. He is being held without bond. 1205 Hours: A deputy assisted Fairbanks, AK Police Department with an elder abuse investigation. 1504 Hours: A deputy conducted a traffic stop On Schoolfield Rd. near Colony Ln. Kyle Miller (28) of Westcliffe was issued a penalty assessment for speeding 67 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. |
