Six-Day Local Forecast
For the first half of the week, we'll see sunny to mostly sunny skies and it will be breezy at times due to
strong upper level westerly winds. A strong upper-level low pressure system, currently spreading rain
and snow showers across California and Oregon, will be in our area on Thursday. Also on Thursday,
cold Canadian air will move through and reinforce the system from the West. With the clash of these
two air masses, Thursday will be wet and much cooler, starting with a rain/snow mix, and likely turning
mostly to snow Thursday evening. We may also hear some cracks of thunder on Thursday. I'm not
sure how much snow will accumulate as the ground will be warm enough to melt most of any snow
that will fall. Friday and Saturday will remain cool as more Canadian air will continue to filter
southward and this trend now appears like it will continue into the following week right into the middle
of April, with continued off- and- on snow showers.
